1-800-SEX-WYZE: The Health Hotline Musical

If you’ve taken public transit in the last 30 years, you’ve probably seen ads for a certain sexual health information hotline. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work there?

Brought to you by the creators behind The Wet Spots, SHINE: A Burlesque Musical, and Texas Annie: The Legend of the Moan Ranger, 1-800-SEX-WYZE delivers the risque laughs of a proper Fringe musical, with plenty of heart and even some practical sex ed. Think Savage Love meets Avenue Q with a dash of burlesque.

Director Diva Macdonald has been serving camp, chaos, and theatrical absurdity since 2006. Directing credits include SHINE: A Burlesque Musical, Oliver Fanny, and Greece (does Grease). Diva has performed throughout Western Canada and at The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.

Writer John Woods’ duo The Wet Spots won pick of the Vancouver Fringe in 2004 & 2005, and Best Cabaret at the 2009 Adelaide Fringe.
