We are glad to be in community with you.

Despite the challenges this past year brought for all non profit organizations, AfroQueer continues to strive to expand its programs and offerings to the community. We are writing in hopes that you will be able to make a contribution for one or more of the many exciting events that we are offering this Black Queer Vancouver community this year.

We take so much pride in our cause.

AfroQueer seeks to create safer spaces of healing love and celebration during Pride season.

Pride Sunday invites the Afro-diasporic Queer community in Vancouver to freely enjoy the sounds of our lands and culture, acknowledging the necessity for programming centering underserved Queer identifying Black community in Vancouver, uninterrupted and intergenerational!

Promoting joy and uplifting African artistic expression, the event serves as an opportunity to embrace an empowering approach to pride celebration, reflecting the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and filling the gap by expanding the musical diversity and representation throughout the year, especially during pride season.

In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals, larger organizations and businesses for support.

DONATE HERE ->

Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community each year. We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a donation. This year our goal is $3500 and we hope that you will be able to make a contribution. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue in our work.
