Kimmortal is a queer non-binary filipinx-canadian artist known for their powerful stage presence and multi-dimensional approach to music. The message of staying true to oneself has always persisted throughout Kimmortal's music, and their new album "SHOEBOX" continues this track record. Kimmortal's clever wordplay has only gotten sharper over the years with personal lyrics that celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ community and give the middle finger to societal injustice.
THE HISTORY OF GUNPOWDER
The History Of Gunpowder is a freak-out ensemble from Montreal, now based in Vancouver, with an ever-changing cast of members that put on unpredictable, chaotic live shows. A staple of the Canadian live scene, The History is devoted to constantly pushing the envelope on stage and in the studio and has built a community around them that consists of some of the best musicians in Canada. On any given night, The History may have a horn section, violin quartet, or gospel vocal group joining them on stage to add to their 8-piece core group. For this performance, The History will be playing new music with an extended line up, some say it may be an 11-piece.... Come see the monstrosity in all its glory.
UNCLE STRUT
Uncle Strut is an indie rock band from Vancouver, Canada. They have released 10 singles to date, have played over 50 shows and have had 5 festival appearances since their inception in 2021. These include headline shows at The Wise Hall, The Fox Cabaret, The Biltmore Cabaret and The Local Festival. Uncle Strut are known for their energetic live performances, creative marketing strategies and hilarious offstage antics. Some of their favourite pastimes include tattooing each other, combing their moustaches and taking their shirts off.
DRAG PERFORMANCE FROM KENDALL GENDER
As a performer, host, model and 2SLGBTQIA+ activist, Kendall Gender is a bonafide Canadian drag sensation. With grassroots in Vancouver, she has performed coast to coast since 2014 and shows no signs of slowing down.
Kendall is best known for being on season 2 of Canada’s Drag Race, where she placed in the top 3. She was also most recently seen on All stars - Canada VS the World.
