Casting Opportunity, deadline May 18 9 am

Jigsaw Casting is seeking 2SLGBTQ+ community members and allies for an IKEA Pride Campaign in Vancouver! 

This is a campaign for IKEA Pride. We are seeking a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about 2SLGBTQ+ rights: people from different ethnic backgrounds, ages, body types, abilities and identities—all are welcome. This campaign strives to give a platform to queer marginalized voices to speak to issues they care about, and to show off the positive side of activism and life as a 2SLGBTQ+ person. Seeking the following roles:

1. A two-spirit Indigenous person. Age 19+. 

2. A queer elder. Age 60+.

3. A trans teen and their supportive parent(s). 

4. A smart, queer Gen-Z teen.

5. A nonbinary person. Age 19+. 

6. A queer couple. Age 19+. 

7. A queer organization leader. Age 19+. 

8. A queer disabled person. Age 19+. 

9. A bilingual (ENG/FR) queer person. Age 19+. 

10. A queer comic. Age 19+.


Pay is: $1,500 per person, if selected, for a one-day shoot and wardrobe session. This is an ACTRA PSA project. Union and non-union talent are welcome. COVID test will be required prior to the shoot; a $100 COVID testing stipend will be paid. No previous acting experience is required. Background checks will be performed on shortlisted talent. Usage: 1-year Digital + OOH.

You must be available for these dates if selected: (In Vancouver)

ZOOM Interview: May 25, 2022.

Wardrobe: May 30, 2022.

Covid Test: May 28-30, 2022 (one day) 

Shoot Date: May 31 or June 1, 2022.  (One day, in Vancouver)

*Production and talent will follow all COVID SAFETY ON SET PROTOCOL.

**Vaccination -  All film crew and talent/guardians over the age of 12 must be fully vaccinated in order to be on set . Proof of vaccination required. Medically exempt acceptable reason with proof.
