Community & Cultural Significance
Stronger Than the Current is our 2025 Pride theme — a call to remember who we are, where
we come from, and how we persevere.
Like the salmon who return to their home waters, we swim against the current of hate, fear, and
political backlash — not just for ourselves, but for each other, for our queer youth, for our
Elders, for our Two-Spirit kin, for our ancestors, for the future.
This year, we gather to celebrate joy, resistance, and belonging. We honour the land we live on,
the waters that carry us, and the love that keeps us strong. Together, we are stronger than the
current.
