Come hold space with us as we remember and celebrate the lives and resilience of our trans community. We will have a low sensory space as well as support staff onsite at the event

In order to create a safer shared space, QMUNITY has written some guidelines for this event. Please read them carefully, and reach out to QMUNITY if you have any questions.

Community Guidelines:

1. Practice good allyship.
TDoR is a day to grieve the victims of transphobic violence, who are overwhelmingly trans women of color. With this in mind, we ask cisgender participants to practice good allyship by being mindful of the space you are taking up, and to keep the focus on those most impacted by violence. Cis people, please hold each other accountable to keeping this space trans-focused.

2. Self-care & Community Care
TDoR is a difficult day, especially for trans people. While Qmunity will have onsite support people, we may not be able to respond to the full range of difficult emotions that the day may bring up. We ask that participants have a self-care plan in place. We also ask that participants practice community care by flagging any safety concerns to Qmunity staff onsite.

3. Ask consent for photos or filming.
Our goal is to create a space away from public eye for our community to gather, and we understand that queer and trans people might have heightened privacy needs. With this in mind, we require that participants ask consent to take photos of or film other participants, including in the background of your pictures, and to be mindful of social media posts that may disclose the identity of other participants.
