Acacia's Black Parade

Celebrate Black History Month on Friday, February 2nd, as we proudly present "Acacia's Black Parade,” in collaboration with Level Up, Afroqueer, and Made By We. Join us at The Birdhouse in honoring and embracing black culture with an extraordinary showcase featuring some of Vancouver’s top performers from the black community. The event kicks off at 9 PM and goes until 2 AM, and you won't want to miss it!

King Sized

King Sized is an all Drag King focused bi-monthly drag show event produced by POC elder Drag King, SKIM (he/him) on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and Selílwitulh Nations.

At its heart, King Sized is about uplifting Drag Kings, performing masculinity, fucking with gender and creating visibility for trans, masc performing artists in Vancouver.

’Soul Stories': Restorative workshop & poetry jam/open mic

Join us for an uplifting celebration of creativity and community experience at 'Soul Stories': a restorative workshop and poetry jam/open mic with Fanny and friends! Featuring local talents Jillian Christmas, Brandon Wint, Adonis King, and Desiree Dawson, accompanied by musical talent. The day kicks off with a restorative writing and collaging workshop from 2-5 PM at Morrow Studios (910 Richards St SUITE 204, Vancouver, BC V6B 3C1). Later that evening, doors open back up at 6:30 PM and you’re welcome to stay for the Poetry Jam & Open Mic session for Black Queer Poets till 9:30 PM.
