Comedy Basement Showcase Featuring Steev Letts

The Comedy Basement Saturday Showcase features a new and specially curated lineup of Vancouver's funniest pro & up-and-coming stand up comics every Saturday night. Tonight, featuring the always hilarious and hunky Steev Letts with a few of his comedic friends.

Is nothing sacred for Dust and her crew, I already know the answer but thought I’d just throw that out there. I’m just waiting for them to attempt Coronation Street or better yet Young And The Restless with Dust as a transsexual Victor Newman. Every week this show gets bigger and if possible, even better. If you haven’t seen any what are you waiting for? Can you feel the love tonight? This week they are transporting you to Pride Rock to give you the Lion King Drag Show of your dreams. Monday's Most Wanted

Monday's Most Wanted is a new weekly show brought to you by four local favourites, taking the helm every Monday. Each week will be hosted by a different host from their roster of no good, beatnik, criminals providing you with a revolving flavour of drag. EMPREX 48 ALMA is in charge and kicking off every month with her show-stopping energy, and commitment to bring the house down every goddamn number. Leave smiling every time, guaranteed. Plus, a little bird, aka as great big queen, tells me the awesome and always stunning, Berlin, will be here tonight as well.

Clownfish Launch Party

A new drag show hosted by Molly Poppinz, where glamour meets comedy, with specials guests from drag clowns to fishy queens and everyTHING in between is another new night in the village so we will see which one is poppinz (see what I did there) the most. Plus, our new Emperor, #48 Del Stamp will be manning the decks. This month’s guests are Continental Breakfast & Sugar Hush with spotlight performances from XanaX, Zit Poppinz, Satanix, Lamè and Raina Wolf.

Bingo For Life

A pillar of our community for decades, Bingo For life is a weekly drag bingo fundraiser which benefits Vancouver Friends For Life Society programming and services. Now with a new home at Mary's on Davie - Bingo For Life is excited to offer its event to ALL AGES, with food and of course - your favourite Davie Party Gurl who is more than experienced in handling as many balls as possible- Carlotta Gurl!

Gender Fuck

Always trying to include all aspects of our community, Steamworks does their best. Tonight starts off a monthly night that is a play party for Trans men, Trans women, and the men that love them. Get your glow bracelet to ID yourself: red=top, blue=bottom, white=Trans man, yellow=Trans woman and orange= non binary. Plus, membership is free for all Trans customers.

Thursday, April 11

Patrick Masse & Friends Benefiting AIDS Vancouver

Join Patrick Masse & Friends Live at the Yale Benefiting AIDS Vancouver. You can expect a jam-packed evening of live entertainment and delicious food, all in support of Canada’s first AIDS Service Organization. Emceed by Nafeesa Karim from CTV News, the evening features Patrick Masse & Friends including Angela Harris, Ben Klick, Jenni Doyle, Jackson Hollow and Drake Jensen. The Unstoppable Conni Smudge will also be there and, of course, Sr. Festivus and the Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, who will collect donations at the door in lieu of tickets. All proceeds from the event will help to fund crucial services like the HIV Online Helpline for those in distress, the Grocery Program to ensure clients have access to nutritious food, HIV/AIDS Prevention, and Support Services. Over 7,000 people annually access some form of service provided by AIDS Vancouver.

Queer Arts Festival AGM

Come to a party at the Queer Arts Annual General Meeting. They’ll be providing updates on new developments at Pride in Art Society and giving a sneak peek into this year’s festival. Not only does the AGM provide them the opportunity to hang out with you in advance of this year’s festival, but AGM attendance is a key factor for some of their funders (so please show up!). ASL Interpretation will be provided.

Saige Community Food Bank

An East Vancouver Community Food Bank that does food rescue to provide fresh produce and baked goods for those in need. A trans, two spirit and gender diverse safe space that is open to all. No ID, proof of housing or income needed. Volunteers welcomed from 1:30-5:50. Numbers given out lottery style at 3:30. Doors open from 4:00 till food runs out. Please contact us with questions or donations.

Friends and family of Eastside Studios, I can hardly believe it's already been a year.
