Vancouver, BC, Oct 2, 2020 - Tired of coming out stories full of angst? Wish there were more queer protagonists in your young adult paranormal fiction? Wren Handman agrees, and that's why she wrote Havoc & Happiness. It's a comedy without being a parody, a madcap adventure through the streets of Bozeman, Montana. Get onboard a world full of monsters, mayhem, and sweet f/f love.

"She’s gasping for breath but I’ve found mine, somehow, in that crushing confusing kaleidoscopic moment."

Wren Handman is a Vancouver-based novelist and screenwriter. She writes a wide range of stories, from science fiction (Wire Wings) to YA contemporary paranormal (In Restless Dreams). All of her stories are connected by one thing: the magical blended with the everyday…probably because she secretly wishes magic was real.

Michaela Peters didn’t let dying get her down.

After all, it was only for a few minutes, and the hospital paid her a huge settlement. Now she’s an emancipated minor with nine million dollars in the bank and her entire future ahead of her. Life could be a heck of a lot worse!

Michaela moves to Montana, determined to enjoy the  queer high-school drama that life is serving up. Instead, she finds herself caught in the crosshairs of a fight between horrible monsters that shift with a person's imagination, and the gorgeous trigger-happy siblings who hunt them. The problem? She seems to be able to destroy the monsters with a thought, but the hunters haven't decided which side she's on.
