Sun in Pisces February 18-March 20, 2021
As we enter into Pisces Season, I reflect on a poem I once wrote for a Pisces Sun I knew and loved. I never kept a copy and they never got to read it, but there is a line in there that I think of often when I think of what their energy means to me. It went, "Like seeing the Moon in the Day / Loving you is building gardens in our home."
Meaning: You are a little out of place, and maybe not from this world at all, but coming home to you is comforting nonetheless.
What I hold so dear to my heart about Pisces energy isn't that they are Universal - that is, that they are able to Love wholly and unconditionally - but that they are so naturally committed to being kind. As we move into Pisces Season, we may all feel a softening of sorts, as though our normally guarded hearts are glowing through the armour. We may feel more inclined towards kindness and patience rather than our accustomed rudeness in a hurry. We may feel more equipped to extend a hand to one another rather than judge. We may feel more open to love and be loved in return.
The beautiful thing about Pisces Season, to me, is that it coincides with Spring. We see the world around us begin to thaw, and so we begin to thaw, too. Winter is nearing an end, and, as we move into the season of the 12th Sign, we signal an ending within ourselves as well. Reflect on all it is that you have learned in the last Zodiac year.
What did you do?
How did you speak to one another? Who have you helped?
Who have you hurt?
Something a Pisces Sun once taught me was that a good and honest person make amends wherever possible. It isn't about being perfect, as that is an impossible standard perhaps only Virgo may seek to achieve. With her sister sign, Pisces, being good is about owning our mistakes or transgressions, apologizing to those we have hurt, and committing to doing better next time.
May we honour the lessons that Pisces teach us by engaging in Love and only Love this beautiful season. May you remember that you are worthy of such Love yourself. May you find your peace.
