Neil Patrick Harris Returns to Theatre and Reveals Eyebrow-Raising Favourite Snack
Neil Patrick Harris is one of the most famous names in Hollywood. The multi-talented entertainer has never shied away from the spotlight and is especially notable as one of the foremost celebrity members of the LGBTQ2S+ community.
He’s a superstar and seemingly can’t put a foot wrong. Of course, this comes down to his ocean of charisma. In How I Met Your Mother, his character may have famously turned his nose up at Canada. Still, his prolonged stay in Vancouver, topped off by singing “O Canada” atop a mountain, certainly endeared him further to Canadians.
It seems NPH rarely rests on his laurels. From his hopping between the many lines of entertainment for fun and work to delving into new ventures, the openly gay man from Albuquerque, New Mexico, is rarely far from the headlines. Most recently, he’s expanded his entertainment résumé.
Embracing Entertainment from Stage to Sin City
The most famed works of NPH are, naturally, on screen. He broke out on Doogie Howser, M.D. in the 90s before surging to prominence in How I Met Your Mother from 2005 to 2014. Since the end of How I Met Your Mother, NPH has been Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events and was killed off in both Gone Girl and It’s a Sin! To kick off this year, he went to a Washington D.C. theatre to direct a limited run of Tick, Tick… Boom!
Being an entertainment aficionado, it’s also not uncommon to see the famed actor pop up in other forums. NPH is a well-known magic enthusiast – which is why it gets incorporated into so many of his parts – and he’s known for trips to Vegas. At the end of last year, he played in the World Poker Tour’s Daniel Arsham Celebrity Invitational, but didn’t do too well. He later admitted that poker isn’t exactly his gambling game of choice.
NPH’s Recreational Fun and Odd Snacks

It’s always great to see Harris on stage or screen and even get involved in other ventures, but avoiding his advice on snacks might be the best!
