Back with a Holiday Feast Full of Music, Entertainment and Performances

Join in the spirit of the holiday season as the Anvil Centre in New Westminster sets the stage for the Annual Winter Celebrations. It will be THE place for free, fun, and exciting family entertainment running from December 21 – 31. For 10 days the venue will be filled with an abundance of music, entertainment, and exciting programming for all ages from comedy, music, singer songwriters, dancers, children’s entertainment and so much more!

The scope of entertainment is broad and deep and ranges from free performances to ticketed events.

Be taken away on a musical memory tour of your favourite holiday songs with Dandy, Phyllis & The Dimes: ‘Walkin in a Winter Wonderland.’ This nostalgic Christmas show will make you feel tasty warm even if it's cold outside.

Dandy and Phyllis have a big social media following and perform together in drag in Vancouver frequently.

They are very funny together and perform Christmas Nostalgia. The Dimes are a retro vocal 50’s style trio of singers. This music-centric variety show is for all ages and for all that love candy canes, snowflakes, chestnuts roasting on an open fire and the joy of the season.

Winter Celebrations 2022 offers is something for everyone that includes the popular Axis Theatre Society - Th’owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish; Canada’s premiere professional taiko drumming group Uzume Taiko; and enchanting children’s favourite Pico and the Golden Lagoon by Picos Puppet Palace.

The entire palette of musical performances is colorful, exciting, and hugely entertaining featuring some of Vancouver’s best from the fabulous and award-winning powerhouse duo of Dawn Pemberton and Jodi Proznick and all-star band O Come All Ye Soulful. They are ready to bring the house down! For a great mix of Celtic feelgood toe tapping music, the always popular Family Ceilidh featuring Blackthorn. Evolutionary in their form, the crowd-pleasing percussion explosion known as Kutapira is a must see blending Afrobeat, Funk, Jazz, and Hip Hop into a fusion of sound. If you are looking for a belly full of laughs, Molly’s Comedy Cabaret will keep you smiling long after.

To celebrate and share the moments with family and friends, experience the Winter World lantern labyrinth with community performances that feature a blend of dance, music and singer songwriters including Chris Clute and Victoria Groff, Jason Qiu, Kevin Lam String Quartet, world renowned Indian classical arts couple, Cassius Khan and Amika Kushwaha and more.
