The Vancouver Pride parade - Everything you need to know
2025 INFORMATION AND DETAILS can be found on the Vancouver Pride Society Website.
The 2025 Vancouver Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, August 3, beginning at 1:00 - 3:30 pm on Pacific Boulevard, just past Griffiths Way. The parade will travel west along Pacific Boulevard and flow directly into the Davie Village Pride Festival, which begins at 2:00 p.m. in Vancouver’s historic West End. With more than 150 parade entries and a full festival program already in motion, this year’s Pride celebrations mark a critical moment of transition for the organization and the communities it serves.
CBC NEWS: Vancouver Pride Parade will go ahead despite losing half its corporate sponsorship. This year's parade will be smaller and simpler as a result, say organizers. Read story here.

DETAILS DETAILS
Best viewing: Anywhere along Pacific Blvd between Griffiths Way and Howe St.
First Aid: Multiple first aid locations are available along the parade route.
Public transport: Skytrain is the recommended public transport option for accessing the parade route. Yaletown Roundhouse station (www.translink.ca) is a 1 minute walk (65 metres) from the parade route. Yaletown Aquabus dock (TheAquaBus.com) is a 6 minute (400 metres) walk from the parade route. Please contact Aquabus directly for information on stroller and wheelchair-accessible routes.

Mask Policy: Please stay home if you are feeling unwell. Vancouver Pride Parade is an outdoor event. There will be a mask mandatory tent reserved for folks wishing to experience the parade in an area where masks are required by all using the space. Check in at the Info Tent (Davie Street at Pacific Blvd) from 11am to access this tent. Please note that other sections of the street and viewing zones do not require guests to wear a mask, including the Info Tent.
THE FUN
OK so those are the details and here’s the fun.
Dress up! Feel free to let your flag fly - there’s no other time of the year when you can be everything you want to be.
Carry Water. It will be very very hot if the sun is out. 90% of the parades I’ve attended over the past decade have been very sunny and very hot. Wear a hat, put on sunscreen before you leave the house (no, sunscreen is not bad for you, it will save your skin from numerous surgeries in your 60s trust me)
Join in. If you’re mobile, and you see someone you know in the parade, jump in and walk along for a bit. It’s an exhilarating experience!
Leave your puppers at home. The crowds, the noise, the heat will all be unpleasant for your furbaby. There’s nothing fun about a massive parade for dogs (or cats).
THE MAGAZINE
Each year the Vancouver Pride Society puts out fun magazine - the ad prices have always been far to rich for our capacity but it’s still a fun read. CLICK HERE TO READ THE 2025 VANCOUVER PRIDE GUIDE MAGAZINE
