Qmunity Seniors Luncheon

  • Time: Wednesdays, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.

  • Location: Gordon Neighbourhood House.

  • Details: Join a complimentary weekly lunch program hosted by the QMUNITY Seniors and Older Adults Program in partnership with Gordon Neighbourhood House.

QUEST+ Monthly Café

  • Time: Third Thursday of each month, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

  • Location: Burnaby Neighbourhood House’s Brentwood location (2055 Rosser Avenue).

  • Details: A social connection resource for 2SLGBTQIA+ adults in Burnaby and surrounding communities. These cafés provide a safe, inclusive space for conversation, education, and connection.

2SLGBQTIA+ Seniors & Elders Community Kitchen

  • Time: Last Saturday of every month, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

  • Location: 800 East Broadway (Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House).

  • Details: Learn to cook healthy food on a budget, socialize, and share a meal. This free event includes vegan and gluten-free options.

  • Note: This is a partnership between Saige Community Food Share and Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

GenYOGA

  • Time: Wednesdays at 9:30 AM.

  • Location: Gordon Neighbourhood House.

  • Details: A gentle Hatha Yoga class in an environment designed for all bodies and skill levels, taught by a QMUNITY volunteer.

  • Attendance: This is a drop-in program.

Qmunity Gathers: In Vancouver

  • Time: Mondays at 1:00 PM.

  • Location: Gordon Neighbourhood House.

  • Details: In-person gatherings to network, share culture, and discuss "rainbow life after 55".

  • Attendance: This is a drop-in program.

Qmunity Gathers: Online

  • Time: Thursdays, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM.

  • Details: Join online gatherings to network and share experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ life after 55. Facilitated by Allie King and Lindsey Williams.

Quirk-e 2SLGBQIA+ Seniors Group

  • Time: Wednesdays, 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM.

  • Details: The Queer Imaging and Riting Kollective for Elders (Quirk-e) experiments with language, text, graphics, and performance. The group currently meets online.

Rainbow Wisdom Café

  • Time: First and third Thursday of each month, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM.

  • Location: 411 Seniors Centre (3502 Fraser St).

  • Details: An afternoon of engaging conversation, fun activities, and educational topics with light refreshments. A partnership between Little Mountain Neighbourhood House and 411 Seniors Society.

QMUNITY Older Adults Food Security Assistance - Low-income 2SLGBTQIA+ seniors (55+) can apply for monthly grocery cards. Contact the seniors specialist at seniors@qmunity.ca or call 604-684-5307 to inquire.
