As they say “tis the season”, for shopping that is. This listing I have tried to supply you with more events to go see and relax than to get out and party. There is a couple like that but the next two weeks you will all have plenty of partying. This week take some time to see a show, shop at a weirdo market or just sit back, have a mellow drink and listen to music.

Girlgig is ramping it up to do a XMISS Party and fundraiser to benefit women in need. Please bring donations of non-perishable food items, bath items, anything you can to this great night of entertainment.

Pumpjack Pub Is 18: Almost Legal
Yes it is true; the pub is 18 years old. Long gone are the days of Doll & Penny’s but I still miss the old spot. But PJs has proven it is a winner and I am sure with Byron Cooke and Del Stamp involved everything that is planned for today is “almost legal”. Better wear the good Sunday undies…just in case.

Queers And Beers
Ready for some beers with suburban queers for a change? Have some great beer, discounted of course, and good cheer in a safe welcoming atmosphere. Northpaw Brew Co. is a craft brewery located on the north side of Port Coquitlam, BC in the new neighbourhood of Fremont Village.

Condom Packing Party
Tonight is an extra special holiday edition brought to you by HIM. The Health Initiative for Men is getting together with special host St. James Queen of Surrey and The Metro Vancouver Radical Faeries as well as VAN-PAH and Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to go beyond and have an absolutely fabulous Condom Packaging Party and to also collect donations of food and clothing to benefit local outreach programs. We will be collecting Food and Clothing (Jackets, Socks, Sweaters) and Blankets that will be distributed to local outreach groups such as Saige Community Food Bank. There will also be the opportunity to get in bed with Faerie Santa for a Photo-Booth shot that will make a great Christmas card.

Little Dickens
The cast of The Daisy Theatre take on the beloved holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, in the merriest marionette mash-up ever. Faded Daisy diva, Esmé Massengill, plays the role of miserly, drunken, bitter Esmé Scrooge, encountering all your Daisy favourites (as Dickens’ familiar characters!) on her journey to redemption. Definitely not for children, this raucous, adults-only holiday treat, Little Dickens combines Burkett’s mastery of marionette puppetry, playful songs, and improvisation. Show runs until Saturday, Dec 22.

Dirty Little Secrets Improv
In the third year of spilling all your dirty little secrets, ok a lot were mine, in this hit improv show so if you haven’t been now is the time. Watch a cast of Vancouver's top improvisors in a night of being inspired by YOUR anonymous secrets and playing them out on the stage. Secrets MUST be true and yours to spill.

Shame Spiral
Come have a waste case of a good time as the Baddest Bitch of the East hits Davie for some East meets West debauchery. Tuesday Nights have never been so full of regret as Peach Cobblah takes over her favourite cocktail lounge for a night of drag, perverse games, and true shame spiral stories - that's right, drag queens admitting to the horrendous decisions we made along the way. Plus Peach Cobblah performing numbers from the Blender of Shame (you pick 'em, she 'syncs 'em). You never know who or what will pop up at her show so be prepared for a full night of fun and laughs.

A weekly group for 55+, LGBTQ2S adults to get together for discussions, movie nights, outings, painting class and whatever else might tickle your fancy. Get going and get involved. Sometimes all you need to get out of the house is a small push.

The Weirdo’s Holiday Market unites Vancouver’s most outlandish local artists and vendors to showcase an eclectic array of all things unusual, unique, and out of this world. This event will not be for those who gift chocolate hedgehogs and Starbucks gift cards. They aim to find the most awesome and unconventional artists who create gifts from the quirky to the macabre for the strange and eccentric folks looking to fulfill the quirkiest of needs on their holiday shopping list. They aim to celebrate Vancouver’s weirdoes, the love of collecting, and the skill of up-cycling and the thrill of finding the perfect gift. Yes my shopping circuit will include this!

Tis the season! Holiday themed ARTRoots!! Come on by with your Santa hats, drinking shoes and impulse buy mitts on. Sugar Skull Studio is an amazing hair studio covered in art and amazing décor. 29th Fullerstines' Annual Diorama Party FUNdraiser
The annual Diorama Party is an event like no other held by the FullerSteins and proceeds from this event will benefit the Saige Community Food Bank! Come down and check out this year's Diorama Tree! Hosted by Conni Smudge and Crema, so get there early because you know if any Dioramas are made with gingerbread that Smudgemeister will have had a taste or three.

18th Annual CoCo Holiday Show: A Family Affair
You may have thought that since she is now the Grande Dame of Mary’s that she would skip out on the show but our little Coco…never! One of the biggest and best fundraisers on Davie, this show has it all. Not only is it hosted by CoCo herself but drag queens around the city are battling it out to get a coveted spot. Will your fave win out? I’m not sure but my money is on the big girls, not only don’t they cry, the have a mean right hook. Proceeds tonight support A Loving Spoonful, the Vancouver Food Bank and Out In Schools so please give generously. You can win over $2500 in prizes. Bring toys, canned food items and buy lots of raffle tickets.
