Intergenerational LGBTQ Muslim Social 

Join a welcome social for 25 LGBTQ Muslims who are visiting Vancouver from across British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Ontario. Salaam Canada has been lucky to receive a grant to host a two day leadership and peer-facilitator training for LGBTQ Muslims who want to create and cultivate supportive spaces and resources in their communities.

Vancouver's National Day of Action on the Overdose Crisis

This year's National Day of Action on the Overdose Epidemic, Vancouver is united for #SafeSupply. Everyone needs to raise their voices and call on the government to act. Dignified access to safe drugs is everybody's human right. The "New Orleans style" Processional Parade(costumes recommended ) with brass band , performance artists and DIY floats will leave Insite at 11:15 am and make its way to the Vancouver Art Gallery .When the parade arrives at the Gallery there will be info kiosks from various User Groups, a panel discussion on Safe Supply and decriminalization followed by a Press Conference.

Dead People's Things 

Zee Zee Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of the latest play by Playwright in Residence Dave Deveau, developed in association with PTC. Phyllis, a Millennial, inherits a house and all of its contents after her estranged hoarder aunt commits suicide. She then must work with neighbour Beatrice, a Baby Boomer who has been named executrix, to try and make some sense of the life and death of a woman she barely knew, through the things she left behind. Based on true events, Dead People’s Things is a heartrending haunting that examines loneliness and the strange contradiction between belongings and belonging. Show runs until Sunday, May 5.

Ignite Festival 2019

A 3 day festival for self-identified men to play with the possibilities of our bodies, to explore new realms within our hearts, and to spark new fires in our souls. Ignite is a festival of workshops featuring a stellar team of international facilitators who have a wealth of experience and knowledge working with queer men. Each one will take us on a unique journey, inviting us into deeper connections with ourselves and with others. Each day will offer a selection of many different types of workshops, from dance to yoga, embodied explorations to intimate encounters.

Spring Fling vol 2

Something that I could use right now but this is not the romantic kind of fling. Whether you are looking for good food, some used furniture, new chachki or a new boyfriend this is the spot for you, hell even a used boyfriend is good. Flea markets are the best for cruising and at least this one is right downtown. Only $5 to get access to some of the best stores/vendors in all of Vancouver as well as prizes and raffles.

Out Again At The Inn

The Leaping Thespians is an award-winning women's theatre company bringing stories of lesbian lives to anyone who wants to watch. This is their seventh original production. Mary and Marie continue to have their hands full, running their struggling bed and breakfast, while hosting the Blackberry Cove jam-making contest, with no help from their chronically high neighbours. And then, their least favourite guest decides this is her weekend to come out. What could go wrong? Find out at the Leaping Thespians original comedy. Show runs until Saturday, April 27.
