This is it - Hallowe’en Week! And in case you haven’t had a chance to be spooky, we’ve found even more fun, covid-safe events for you and your bubble of queer friends and family.

The Vancouver Horror Show - just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get any scarier.

Since 2018 the VHS has screened 54 short films from 12 countries to nearly 2,000 attendees, and in 2019 hosted the Canadian Premiere of Lisa Ovies’ BC-made horror feature film Puppet Killer starring Aleks Paunovic, Richard Harmon, and Lee Madjoub. Streaming on-demand Oct 20 - Nov 1, 2020.

Hallowe’en Scream Train will make you Scream! through the haunted forest with our creepy scary actors.

This train ride at Bear Creek Park in Surrey is recommended for ages 12 and up. Oct 16-31, 6:30 - 10 pm nightly. If $13 per person. Note: There is a pumpkin train rider for younger passengers during the day.

Once in a Blue Moon Halloween Virtual Telescope Viewing

Join us for a special, spooky virtual telescope viewing on Halloween night! The last time we had a Full Moon on Halloween was in 2001, and this year is extra special with a rare Blue Moon. This will be the first Blue Moon on Halloween since 1944. Celebrate this special night with Chabot’s astronomers for a very rare virtual telescope viewing. October 31, 9 - 10 pm.
