Join Jesse Brown as he launches his campaign to be Vancouver Centre's next Member of Parliament! 42nd Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival
Over the years, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival has played a key role in the development of artists and audiences on a regional, national, and international level. The society continues to honour the same traditions with an emphasis on emerging and diverse artists. Join friends and fellow community members to experience the music and culture of more than 40 international, national, and local acts. New this year is CircusWest. Bring the whole family and step up kids, try your skill at juggling, tightwire and hand stilts and learn from Vancouver’s top circus coaches. CircusWest will also perform circus shows featuring BC’s top young circus talents in a showcase of aerials, acrobatics, object manipulation, and balance. Festival runs until Sunday.

Crown Jules: Pride Show
Crown Jules is a monthly charity drag show benefiting the DMS Vancouver. This show is hosted every month by the Upper House of the 48th Reign: The House of Immaculate Filth. As we move forward we honour the original monthly fundraiser 'Faux Girls' and its creator, DJ Jules, who has created a legacy that we want to carry on through with the evolving world of drag that Vancouver enjoys. Picnic in the Park 2019
Originally called the "Teddy Bear Picnic," this event has a notable history stretching back decades. Unusual for the time, the Teddy Bear Picnic allowed LGBTQ2+ community members to gather in an outdoor, public space. We are excited to continue the legacy of this event and welcome you and your family to come. Join for family friendly activities after the Pride Run & Walk 2019. Games, fun and lots of sunshine make this the best day ever.

Health Initiative for Men (HIM) are super excited about their annual Condom Packing Party: SPECIAL PRIDE EDITION! Extra special guests from Microsoft Vancouver and the #TECHLOVESPRIDE Collective will be in attendance. We will also have folks coming out from Canada’s NDP / Le NPD du Canada and the camp of David C. Jones! At this special Pride Edition they will be inviting back ALL past participants and Co-Hosts, special guests and past volunteers from over the last two years to do a big Condom Packaging push to maximize their stock before Pride Weekend, so come join and get to know more about them and assist in readying our supplies!

A pillar of our community for decades, Bingo For life is a weekly drag bingo fundraiser which benefits Vancouver Friends for Life Society programming and services. Your favourite party gurl who never tires will be on hand as your perpetual host, Carlotta Gurl. Lady in Red Pride Ball
Kick-off Pride with Fairmont Hotel Vancouver at the second annual Lady In Red Ball, benefiting Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation. Vancouver's Next Drag Superstar winner and Fairmont Pride Ambassador, Kendall Gender, takes the stage in the stunning Pacific Ballroom to emcee the evening's events, including a show-stopping performance with The Brat Pack. Also featuring a live musical performance by singer/songwriter Stephen Scaccia, DJ-ing by Man About Town Entertainment, silent auction, cocktails and canapés.

Public Disco at Pride Premiere
A 7-hour, 360° party circling the Vancouver Art Gallery. Yes please! Public Disco is back to host Public Disco at Pride Premiere. Finding innovative ways to present music and bring people together is of utmost importance in a city with limited space, widespread unaffordability and an often lonely population. Public Disco combats these challenges by creating free pop-up events that connect people through music and dancing in reimagined urban spaces. Two channels of music - one immersive dancing environment. Grab a pair of headphones and pick the channel that moves you. From pop and hip hop to house and techno, anything goes in the Silent Disco. Five hours of feel good dance music from 5-10pm.

Feeling a little hot? Want to get a little wet? MangoSweet is ripe’n’ready to splash you with a pride edition of Hot Fruit - Big Sweat! This is the latest of the duo’s events that centre & celebrate QTBIPOC. Hot Fruit - Big Sweat is a free dance party that centres queer & trans, black, indigenous, people of colour performers and talent. Dress in your brightest colours, busiest patterns, and shine the way you want to shine. The event will include opportunities for people of all genders and levels of shyness to have a good time- you can make friends or keep to yourself in our arts & crafts and gaming corner. Quieter music and a laid-back atmosphere will give the party a soft start with some of our favourite audio-duvet-covers and tunes selected by Asami Is Made In Japan. During this time, you will be able to have a tarot reading by Temple Alchemy by donation.
