Vancouver Pride 2021 - A Few Spots Left!
Each year in Vancouver, during the week leading up to the August long weekend, the Vancouver Pride Society hosts and supports a variety of events. Of course, during the global pandemic shutdowns in 2020, all in-person events were cancelled. This year, the VPS has put together a hybrid lineup of over 60 events including some in-person events at a park in Mt. Pleasant.
Unfortunately, because the planning is based on the 50-person Provincial Health Order for public gatherings, most of these events have sold out, 4 weeks early. Since July 1st ,however, BC has entered Stage 3, which allows festivals. Will the VPS, and other groups, announce more, larger events in the coming weeks? Will events open up to allow more ticket sales?
We don’t know the answers, but for now, we’ve listed what VPS events remain below.
Alternative Pride Passes go on sale July 11 - and it looks amazing. See listing below. And any other events, we’re gathering on our Facebook Page here.

ROCK & ROLL PRIDE STREAM
Rock 'N Roll Pride features two nights of multi-genre original music from independent, queer musicians & allies, over the weekend of July 31-August 1 2021. This event is run by Support the Scene YVR and Raincity Artist Administration & Media. Rock 'n Roll Pride kicked off for the first time last year in 2020, amidst the pandemic. It was created in response to the many artists out there on the LGBTQ2S+ spectrum that make incredible music that doesn't fit the bill for the traditional acts you'd catch being hired to play at a pride event, and is catering to those folks and pride-goers alike who are more drawn to alternative genres; rock, metal, punk, grunge, etc. Tickets $15 one night or $20 for both.
