Put the shopping bags down, get dolled up and forget about all the Christmas Hype for one night and spoil yourself at the classiest show around. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, especially in Vancouver it seems so this is the second to last night for this awesome show at XY. Do yourself a favour and grab a partner and treat them to the best present ever by seeing a show that knocks your socks off. Stick around for so Alma realness later on at The Shequel at 1am.

Of course they are open for business today; they look after us every day.  Most people sit back and sleep after a big Christmas brunch or dinner but not us gays. LIP Vancouver Edition

LIP has been an ongoing queer party/after hours in Tio'Tia: Ke, (Montreal) run by Frankie Teardrop one of the co-founders of Slut Island Festival. This XXmas they are excited to bring LIP to the West Coast. With performances by Rogue Rogue and DJs Baby Blue, NuZi Collective, Rhi, Overland and of course DJ Frankie Teardrop.

Bears Night Out

Think all bears go into hibernation? Some do but some also wake up half way through and are super horny and head to Pumpjack. Tonight just happens to be one of those nights. Check out the dancing bears on the platforms: you don’t need an electrical wand to make these bears dance but they would probably enjoy it. DJ Nick Bertossi adds the extra testosterone to the night so feel free to check him out!

The Final Night

Things in life are never fair, add to that the greed of some people and you see why our village is shrinking and there are empty spots all over town. Seems the owners would rather have a building sit empty at the hope of an increased lease than stay at a lesser rate and still collect rent. Maybe Vancouver should have an empty business tax instead of empty condo tax.

That being said tonight is the Final Night for two of our dearest spots, XYYVR and 1181. There are so many parties tonight but if you can drop by and say goodbye to the two places that have kept an enormous amount of talent within our reach. Not just performers but staff, friends and the amazing Jenn Mickey.
